At Pure Prairie Creamery, our all natural cheese is as wholesome as the native prairies of Oklahoma – where wildflowers grow and our goats and cattle graze.
In the recent Made in Oklahoma contest, in which each entry had to include at least two products made in Oklahoma, Leah Lyon of Ada captured first place with her main entree recipe, Black Mesa Bacon Cheeseburgers with Thunder Head Country Slaw. We are extremely pleased that Leah choose to use Pure Prairie cheese in her winning entry. Congratulations Leah!
Janet Tidwell and Betty Clark represented Pure Prairie at the Denim and Diamonds Wine Festival at 50 Penn Place in Oklahoma City. This well attended event was a great opportunity for us to showcase our products. Janet and Betty stayed busy all day keeping the sample trays filled for the hundreds that tried our cheeses. We also learned a very valuable lesson... we must get set up to take credit cards at trade shows. We won't make that mistake again, but there still are a few people out there that carry cash. The sales were brisk and Janet is shown here at the end of a long day counting the fruits of our labor.
