At Pure Prairie Creamery, our all natural cheese is as wholesome as the native prairies of Oklahoma – where wildflowers grow and our goats and cattle graze.
In the recent Made in Oklahoma contest, in which each entry had to include at least two products made in Oklahoma, Leah Lyon of Ada captured first place with her main entree recipe, Black Mesa Bacon Cheeseburgers with Thunder Head Country Slaw. We are extremely pleased that Leah choose to use Pure Prairie cheese in her winning entry. Congratulations Leah!
We have been so busy making and marketing Pure Prairie goat cheeses, that we never got around to getting our sign up at the plant. Well, we picked the coldest day of the year and got it up. Our cheesemaker and manager Gary Huffstutlar cut the sign out with his computer controlled plasma cutter. Nice job Gary.
Now that we can be found easier, we want to invite you to come by the plant. We are located on the southwest corner of the Pontotoc Technology Center Campus, just off the bypass on the south side of Ada. We are here M-F 8-5. We are proud of our facility and would be happy to give you a tour. We also make retails sales out the front door and usually have samples available to try.
