And the winner is...

In the recent Made in Oklahoma contest, in which each entry had to include at least two products made in Oklahoma, Leah Lyon of Ada captured first place with her main entree recipe, Black Mesa Bacon Cheeseburgers with Thunder Head Country Slaw. We are extremely pleased that Leah choose to use Pure Prairie cheese in her winning entry. Congratulations Leah!

We have a cheesemaker!

Meet Pure Prairie’s cheesemaker Gary Huffstutlar, his wife Monica and their daughters Ashton and Kaylee. Gary is excited about learning the art of cheesemaking from the award winning Wisconsin cheesemaker Al Bekkum. "Gary is a real Okie, having lived all his life in the Ada, Oklahoma area and I am really looking forward to working with Gary as our cheesemaker and as a partner" said Bill Clark, one of the partners in Pure Prairie Creamery, LLC.
