At Pure Prairie Creamery, our all natural cheese is as wholesome as the native prairies of Oklahoma – where wildflowers grow and our goats and cattle graze.
In the recent Made in Oklahoma contest, in which each entry had to include at least two products made in Oklahoma, Leah Lyon of Ada captured first place with her main entree recipe, Black Mesa Bacon Cheeseburgers with Thunder Head Country Slaw. We are extremely pleased that Leah choose to use Pure Prairie cheese in her winning entry. Congratulations Leah!
Pure Prairie Creamery paired up with Canadian River Winery this past weekend at the Canadian River Winery Fall Wine Festival in Slaughterville, OK. This was the first event of this type that Pure Prairie has attended. We were nervous and closely watched the faces of all those who tried our cheeses. As you can see from the smile on Betty Clark's face, the response was great! Of the hundreds of samples given away, only one person said they did not like the cheese. Well, you know what they say, "you can't please everyone". We want to thank Gene Clifton, Bill Lehman, Chuck Decious and everyone at Canadian River Winery for inviting us to their successful event.
